HOW IT WORKS:

Once the seeds are determined, a series of tastings will be held in the Coaltrain tasting room to determine which beers will 'win' and move on in the tournament. All the match-ups are randomly numbered to assure the tasting is as "blind" to the participants as possible.

Participants will sit down in front of two unknown beers poured out in front of them, then will smell and taste the samples to determine which one they think is the superior beer. They will mark their choice on a score sheet and move on to the next match-up.

     

All the scores from the participants will be totaled, and a winner is determined. That winner moves on to face another winner from the adjacent match-up in the tournament bracket (see below). Individual session results are listed further below for those playing along.
